To celebrate decent people is one of the most pleasant duties...

Autumn 2015 – winter 2016, the Soul of Ukraine International Charitable Foundation, Inc. supporting Ukrainian people demonstrated a global solo exhibition People of Maidan in Latvian Cities, namely, Riga, Jelgava, Bauska, Valmiera, Ogre.
Despite repeated assaults of Russian vandals on the organizers of the exhibition and destruction of its items under the flags of Latvia and Ukraine in Riga, with full inaction and connivance of the Latvian capital’s mayor Nil Ushakov to a powerful well-coordinated attack on the exhibition, its organizers and the author of the photos by all more or less significant newspapers and TV of Russian Federation and their henchmen in the very Republic of Latvia, many thousands of Latvians and visitors of that beautiful country did see this unique exhibition.
Far from any political affiliation, a unique exhibition People of Maidan demonstrated to Europeans a majestic spirit of the new Heroes of Ukraine; maidanites’ purposeful expressions of faces as a mirror of the ancient people; brave sons and daughters of the land that has merged into a large and vociferous European family, those who, at the expense of their lives, have defended independence, honor and dignity of a great nation thus proving their commitment to the ideals of democracy.
Given volunteer deed of the exhibition organizers, as well as paying tribute to the sincere aspirations to the light and truth by the international project’s numerous assistants, on recommendation of the founder of the international organization Sergey Melnikoff, The Patriarch of Ukrainian Orthodox Church His Holiness Filaret, the patron of the foundations, gave high accolades to those who had made the People of Maidan exhibition a heritage of our civilization.
